Here are a few scenes, shot at The Forks during a busy Sunday lunch hour. The skies were mostly clear, and the temperature was a comfortable -8 Celsius. I only wish I'd stuck around a bit longer, but I had things to do this afternoon. I've also included a few pics of CityPlace to act as a sort of contrast... you'll see what I mean.
Observation deck #5
Another shot of the Johnston Terminal. Background items of note: Our "official" Provincial Slogan (Spirited Energy - I absolutely hate it!). That large white object in the background (that looks like it's been tethered to the ground) is L'Esplanade Riel, a footbridge leading over the Red River to Saint Boniface. Named for a Father of Confederation (and supposed ancestor of mine), Louis Riel.
